Pinnacle Partnering was established in 2011 by Michael Whelehan who saw an opportunity for a business dedicated to corporate governance and financial internal control best practice. Before founding the business, Michael held a number of senior finance positions with blue-chip organisations in Ireland and the UK, including as Head of Internal Audit with a major International Convenience Foods Group.

From his dealings and interactions with global accountancy practices and business advisors, Michael identified a niche in the market for a dedicated business advisor focusing solely on reducing financial risk, improving governance structures and financial processes and saving companies money as part of an overall service offering. Pinnacle Partnering works with businesses dedicated to improving their financial controls, reducing fraud risk and increasing accountability and transparency.
